About me
Catherine Ukelo
|
A psychologist by training, Catherine Ukelo is half sub-Saharan by her father. The end of her studies in psychology and human resources coincided with a new awareness: the desire to contribute to the building of a solid sub-Saharan Africa in the service of its people.
While working as a personnel consultant in Switzerland, she obtained a doctorate in political psychology ("Les prémices du génocide rwandais. Societal crisis and decline of social cohesion," thesis published in 2010). A few years later, she started working in development cooperation in the field of labor market insertion, settling for 7 years in sub-Saharan Africa. Catherine’s interventions in several countries—including Mali, Niger, Burundi, Chad, and Burkina Faso—will allow her to gradually gain a more acute understanding of the obstacles to the integration of young sub-Saharans and to propose concrete solutions, including interventions in Switzerland, in the field, and at a distance. |
